An attorney disciplinary committee has recommended Rudy Giuliani be disbarred in Washington, DC, for his efforts on behalf of then-President Donald Trump to overturn the 2020 election results.

      He was removed from the NYS Bar Association and then later SCONY suspended his license in NY (but did not disbar him).

      So NY swatted a feather in his general direction as punishment, though it could become more serious if he steps up and tries to practice law there again.

      Now DC is taking slightly more serious action against him, maybe. I guess they want to look a bit less idiotic on the historical record than the NY agencies will.

      These organizations really, really do not want to appear political. To the point that they refuse to punish obvious unethical actors. They really need to step forward and be serious about going after those who interfere with rule of law, but doing so would necessarily play into partisan politics because the GOP are the ones that generally run full roughshod on the rule of law.

      Which I guess is better than the engineering boards who are so corrupt that they will literally libel people that make political statements they dislike.

    Hard to imagine losing a professional license for someone who dropped you like a sack of potatoes after throwing caution and profession to the wind to go to bat for them.

    This, folks, is the result of actual Trump Derangement Syndrome. 🤷🏽‍♂️
