I don’t think that is true. There are two passages in John one where he echos God and claims to be a celestial being who came to earth to save the human race* the other where he claims to be one with God.
* Note this is not at all like the claims about the Buddha being a celestial being who came to earth to save the human race, as recorded in the 5th century BCE and present in the Greek speaking parts of the Roman empire. It is just an amazing coincidence that we are all supposed to ignore.
I feel like the being trapped in the proton beams being a dove would have fit better than Jesus, since IIRC that was at least one of the few things the Holy Ghost appeared as.
