While I’ve always been a big fan of fantasy, I’ve often stayed away from certain areas (like D&D books) as they can get waay too campy waaay too fast, but these books are just great!

The pacing is great. Not too much world building, just enough action (both emotional and martial), and no over-the-top cringey material lol. Just an incredibly relateable story about “otherness” and finding your way in a world that can feel hostile to your ideas. It’s something many can relate to in 2023.

I highly recommend for any D&D or general fantasy fans!

I’ve been waiting for this to be made into an awful tv show for like 15 years now

Well apparently Drizzt was pitched as a character in the recent D&D movie, so who knows. It might be on the horizon with Hasbro at the helm

R.A. Salvatore was one of my favorite authors growing up. He maintained the quality writing for a very long time, but fair warning, it does eventually trail off. I reread the first 10 or so books while on vacation a few months ago, and still thoroughly enjoyed them.

R.A. Salvatore is just a really good author. The crystal shard is an excellent book and I highly recommend the sword of bedwhyr.

Glad you are enjoying them…!! I love fantasy books and when I saw The Legend of Drizzt books I added them to my Goodreads to read list. After that I thought I’d skip some and go for The Hunter’s Blades trilogy.
