7s allocations for Israel must be spent in US Companies. IDK, if Israell already spent this year’s allocations, but they did buy some F35s and those are expensive.

Yeah, but you have to got through hoops to maintain a veneer of a democratic and meritocratic system. Not for those who care to pay any attention to what’s going on, just good enough to keep those who rather not pay attention to that. And you don’t even need a majority to believe it, or even the majority within a party: just enough that people can be convinced that at least a majority within one party believes it.

While I think we give enough military help to Israel, so that it is strange to give more, implying that it is only their making, and absolving Hamas from responsibility is intellectually dishonest. From 2005 Gaza was not occupied by Israel, in fact, Israel removed forcefully Jewish settlements around that time. And Hamas came to power (2006?) forcefully removing all political opponents, and has literal destruction of Israel as their main policy openly for years. It conducted many terrorist acts, including the latest horrific act. But no, it is of course only Israeli doing.

So you realize how that’s worse, right? You think it’s better for a democratic state to be committing Genocide? That’s saying you’re cool with it because the people voted for Genocide. How is that something we should give money to?

Both want to destroy each other. They’re both fucked. We should not be giving money to either group committing war crimes. We can support the civilians caught in the middle, that is great. We could do something to attempt to stop the war crimes such as maybe stop the concentration camps that are being leveled by bombs, but that would take convincing Israel to stop stealing land which is like convincing Russia to stop stealing land.

There are a lot I can things criticize Israel for, but genocide in Gaza is not. I can not call their past actions or present actions as genocide. Israel is in horrible situation now and has to choose within availabile options which vary from horrible to absolutely horrible. Israel can not just not react to what was done to it, but ANY reaction is called genocide by many of its critics for the sake of either propaganda or simply not being intellectually honest and objective about the situation.

Edit: sorry guys it looks like a bomb just so happened to hit a hospital just out of sheer luck 🥴 and Israel (who has been bombing Gaza ever since I was born basically) did not bomb Gaza. What really happened was that Bush did 9/11.

Scroll down. They are literally saying the opposite. Look at the post made at 0300 GMT. Your links are coming straight from Israel, and all we have is a video in the arabic Al Jazeera clip. There is no explicit confirmation. We don’t also have an official confirmation from any 3rd party neutral investigation outside of the “US intelligence” stating that this is a Hamas rocket.

Oh and don’t forget about the deleted IDF tweets. Omission of truth doesn’t mean something didn’t happen. :-)

And while you’re at it, take a peek at the rest of the feed and see how Palestinians are getting killed.

Quote from Al Jazeera stating the exact opposite.

“This really does fit perfectly into a pattern of Israeli war crimes in which they have bombed civilian infrastructure and residential areas and schools and hospitals.

One campaign against Gaza after the other they’ve done the same: In 2014, they did the same in 2008 and 2009. So it would be nothing new here except the particular death toll.

The scale of it, in this particular strike, seems to be much more significant than any previous strike. But the action itself is unsurprising.

We’ve had human rights organisations documenting in the past indiscriminate killings and Israeli bombings of civilian areas and, most critically, we’ve seen time and again the Israeli government simply lie about responsibility for its crimes.

And deflections – trying to blame Palestinians – as recently as last year with the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, where Israel tried to pin it on the Palestinians but it turned out to, obviously, be Israel.”

Why? Israel should let members of the International community, particularly, the ICC in so that they can investigate this and other war crimes being reported by news agencies and the Palestinian authorities.

Did you even look through the feed that I posted as part of my previous comment? If you have and yet you still claim that IDF isn’t capable of such atrocities, you’re being willfully ignorant. Or should I remind you that Palestinians are running out of water because Israel though it would be a good idea to besiege Gaza and collectively punish everybody there.

Nothing ambiguous about it, really. It’s a conflict between despotic oppressors and terrorists who mistakenly believe that gives them a right to be absolute monsters, with most of the victims being killed belonging to neither group.

To openly support the apartheid regime led by Netanyahu and other absolute monsters with more money than the entire GDP of Palestine is no better than funding Putin’s abominable invasion would be.

Maintaining Israel’s nuclear arsenal and state of the art military doesn’t come cheap when you’re using it on a population that’s 50% children and armed with rocks, small arms and the odd shoulder-fired rocket.

…sorry - I neglected to mention the Palestinian airforce… That single paraglider really put the fear of god into those Israelis.

Funding a genocide is fucking inexcusable - doubly so when Israel has been signalling this intent for years, and supporting Hamas to create this exact pretext. With all his union business, Biden might have had a great legacy - this puts any chance of that to rest.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

WASHINGTON — Top congressional lawmakers are beginning to receive details of a new funding package the Biden administration is expected to submit to Congress this week.

NBC News reported Tuesday that the administration plans to submit the roughly $100 billion supplemental funding request to Congress in the coming days.

While the money for munitions is expected to be attached to the Ukraine funding request, these sources said the weapons could be used for various purposes, with the Middle East as a point of discussion.

The timing remains fluid, but a possible reason some details could come Wednesday is that the administration would want to catch senators while they’re still in town, said a lawmaker and an aide.

President Joe Biden said Wednesday, a day after a deadly Gaza hospital blast that has fueled protests across the Middle East, that he was preparing to ask Congress for an “unprecedented support package for Israel’s defense” during his trip to Tel Aviv.

The Hamas-run Palestinian Health Ministry said 471 people were killed in what it called a “targeted” Israeli bombing of al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in central Gaza.
