I wanted to ask for some ways that you can grow a website/blog.

I have in the past created blogs using wordpress/Jeykll and they never seem to get that many views from google search so wanted to ask for some ways to grow a website/blog.

    In the modern world, I’m not sure a blog without advertising is going to work - especially hosted on your own domain.

    You will have better luck with substack or koffi, who’s search algorithms will at least suggest related sites - and increase your visibility.

    For decent views you are going to need a way of generating audience - that used to be Facebook and Twitter, but Twitter is dead, and Facebook is showing reduced returns of a saturated market. However, reduced is but 0, so it’s still worth throwing up a page.

    After that, a public Mastodon profile will help in audience creation, but that’s very much a slow burn, and you’ll have to make sure you #tag properly.

      Depending on where you’re located, instagram is also pretty good to get things going. Making a short graphic for each article should be a nice balance. You COULD make a reel/story/tiktokVideo for more engagement, but personally I’d avoid a creator doing stuff like that.

      • Instagram account
      • Facebook page

        It’s a big tent server. It aims to try to take advantage of the facts that servers can be made for anything and that Discord allows for some very encompassing ones, by incorporating as many channels as possible to cater to every aspect of life it could possibly help with, as long as it’s 100% possible to do so.

    Add original content frequently. Make sure the site is 100% up to date, no code errors, all web accessibility included. Find a few keywords you want to rank higher in and look at the top 3 spots for those keywords . Copy what the top three are doing, only do it better.
