I’m still debating which platform suits me best, Lemmy or Kbin.

I see there are no specific apps for kbin, if I create a kbin account, will I be able to use it from Memmy?

    Currently no, but there is a bit of a workaround.

    You can use Memmy with Lemmy, and then you can use Lemmy to subscribe to communities/magazines on Kbin.

    That’s what I do currently and it works very well.

      FWIW I feel like this is less of a workaround and more of just intended fediverse behavior.

      I did something similar (ish). Originally created an account on lemmy.world, realized it was too crowded, then created an account on a smaller instance and migrated my subscriptions over.

        I did the same, started with Lemmy World but quickly realized it was getting too big and slow.

          I’m on LW and it’s been pretty fast since the 0.18 patch. Before that it was pretty slow yeah.

    We do plan on eventually supporting kbin directly, but only if kbin releases an API.
