Throughout history, conservatism has been the primary source of evil and harm on planet earth. Wherever innocent people have been tortured, raped and murdered, you will find conservatives at the root of it.

Religious wars, land wars, oil wars, wars of oppression, genocides, you name it. Conservatives have always been the primary cause of suffering on this planet.

There is a cure for this disease. It’s not pretty and it’s not easy. But there is a cure. Globally, the normal people must openly recognize and address the problem of conservatism and make the very difficult decision to end its existence.

It’s true. Good people are suffering because greedy people are uniting to kill them. It’s time the tables are turned and the world is made a good place by good people who have to do one bad thing.

A border with Russia. Hopefully they don’t expect assistance in not becoming a Russian oblast.

They (Orban) want to be part of Russia again. It’s the best way to ensure he becomes dictator-for-life.

Again? Hungary was never part of Russia.

Did you mean the Soviet Union? Well, they were not part of that either.

How was Hungary not part of the soviet union? Why did they get invaded by tanks days after they starded a revolt against the soviet union?

Hungary was part of the Warsaw Pact, but never part of the USSR.

Ok, you are correct on that, my mistake.

I would still argue that no member of that pact had any authority, only the Soviet Union, so its a formality to say Hungary wasnt part of the Soviet Union, even since most policies came from the Soviets.

I suspect if I had said Soviet Union, you would have responded with “but that doesn’t exist anymore.” Point still stands.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Allies of Hungary’s far-right prime minister Viktor Orbán will hold a closed-door meeting with Republicans in Washington to push for an end to US military support for Ukraine, the Guardian has learned.

It is expected to feature guests including Magor Ernyei, the international director of the Centre for Fundamental Rights, the institute that organized CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) Hungary.

Seen as Vladimir Putin’s closest ally inside the EU for the past few years, he was photographed smiling and shaking hands with the Russian president two months ago in Beijing.

Heritage’s president, Kevin Roberts, repeatedly praised the Hungarian leader on X: “One thing is clear from visiting Hungary and from being involved in current policy and cultural debates in America: the world needs a movement that fights for Truth, for tradition, for families, and for the average person.”

In recent years Orbán has championed a transatlantic far-right alliance with a hardline stance against immigration and “gender ideology”, staunch Christian nationalism and scorn for those who warn of a slide into authoritarianism.

Dalibor Rohac, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute thinktank in Washington, said: “The Hungarian embassy in DC has been very active lately, trying to repair ties with the Republicans and strengthen them where it’s appropriate.
