Be careful, This is extremely graphic. It’s also sad to think this guy could have lived an happy life, but Putin decided for him.

I hate posts like this. Chances are the dude didn’t want to be there in the first place but didn’t have a choice. He wanted out so bad he ate a grenade. Another senseless casualty in this stupid invasion…

Okay, but the choice was only in how he dies. He likely didn’t have an effective or practical way to avoid getting conscripted, and attempting to surrender or defect means he likely gets shot in the back by his own officers or noncoms. Or he can fight, and possibly survive, but maybe he believes that to be morally despicable. Maybe he was already injured, and knew that there was no significant chance of a medevac, and so ended his own life quickly rather than waiting to bleed out or die from infection.

Surrender and desertion are always choices. And while there’s a risk of death when trying to surrender or defect, that means there’s a chance he will live.

Putin played apart, but it takes a village. That psychos rhetoric trickles down and all of the people at the top that organize for him are also to blame. Either way I’m sad for this guy and his family

He’s responsible for his own actions. Now he owned up to them.
