      i appreciate your beautiful soul

      i like being on this website sometimes but people get so mean 😭 like often im just making little jokes and things and i still get called stupid at the drop of a hat and sometimes slurs and its just so exhausting

        Yeah, online comments can be quite unpredictable because you never really know who’s gonna see them, even in communities that usually are very nice. I think some of that is just a Lemmy thing. Posts and comments in furry communities sometimes get a bunch of downvotes and a couple of mean comments because people browsing All stumble across them.

        Lemmy is still fairly young and small, and as such, it needs people like you who post and keep this place alive, but don’t forget to take some time for yourself and your mental health when it gets too exhausting. For what it’s worth, I like your posts and I don’t think they (or you) are stupid :3

    This. I don’t get some of my friends being unnecessarily aggressive on some topics… But I guess now it makes more sense that they like football. They kick that thing so hard they send people to hospitals at an incredibly frequency… Yes I hate football because of this.
