I’m just a beginner (~50 trips to the dungeon), but I almost always play with the huntress. I can get to level 16 pretty consistently, but I’ve never managed to get past level 18.

I hit a similar wall. Huntress is great for my early game, but I still haven’t figured out how to build her so that she does well mid to late game.

I know it’s a me issue tho lol lots of people do really well with her

I intend to keep trying, since I think my strategies do improve over time. It’s difficult, though, when it takes a few hours of play to get to level 16 only to die a few minutes later.

Oh yeah, definetly always worth continuing to try. But i get how those late game deaths can be brutal. I’ve definetly taken some breaks from the game after having too many frustrating deaths lol.

I once burned through 2 blessed ankhs and my regular life pretty much instantly & just stopped playing for a while. But eventually the call of the dungeon always brings me back :P

It is surprisingly addictive. It’s so easy to just try one more time before doing what I actually need to do…

True lol. “Maybe that was just bad luck, this next run it’s gonna happen for me” type addiction
