        I never understood why they would make the people, who had to ride this, start at the bottom. Just make the start at the top so they don’t have the most agonising roller coaster ascending of their lives. wth

          I read that it would give the riders time to think things over, in case they realized they didn’t want to die. The coaster would allow for those who change their mind to get off and descend once reaching the top of the hill, I think there was supposed to be a button riders could hit to signal the operator.

      It’s the Weierstrass function, a function that is continuous but not differentiable anywhere.

        OPs function is indeed the Weierstrass function, but the “rollercoaster” here isn’t a function at all, since there are multiple values per element, isn’t it?

          Ah my bad, I did not see the comment had a picture attached. There’s probably a mathematical way to derive the shape of the euthanasia coaster as well, but I don’t know.
