The network denies being a threat to security, and says Israel wants “to cover up its crimes”.

I’ll go against the grain and say it’s fine for Isreal to remove al Jazeera because they are in an ongoing war. It’s common to remove certain “news” outlets during war and al Jazeera’s coverage of this conflict makes fox news look like a bastion of truth.

Isreal still has access to plenty of new outlets that report negatively on the conflict and scrutinize the government.

“I’ll go against the grain”. Proceeds to maintain the status quo and bootlick for fascists.

Obviously ‘against the grain’ is talking about lemmy general opinion. Yes it’s status quo to remove opposing news agencies during a war.

Tf is wrong with you? Do you even read Al Jazeera? It has been like the most trustworthy organization covering this genocide.

They’re not censoring it for lying, but for telling the truth.

I do read articles from them posted here often. I find them to be extremely bias and quick to report events that have little evidence.

I don’t know how you can look at this situation and come away with the opinion that they are being banned for “telling the truth”.
