I just hope we will be able to disable and remove horizontal tabs without using Firefox’s vertical tabs. I doubt they will be better than Sidebery. Playing with CSS just to remove horizontal tabs is impractical.
Finally. I have been waiting for vertical tabs for ages. Add-ons work but require tweaking the CSS in order to hide the horizontal tabs.
