The move against President Biden, which Speaker Kevin McCarthy has been signaling for weeks, comes as some far-right House Republicans are irate over spending and threatening to depose him.

Evidently. He put his neck on the chopping block to get the speaker seat and now he has to continuously convince them not to swing the axe
