The game had a requirement to link your PlayStation Network account to your steam account but it has been disabled due to server issues. Now Sony wants the dev to enforce that and people feel like they have been bait and switched. Another issue is that many people who have already bought the game live in areas of the world where Playstation Network is unsupported so they couldn’t link an account if they wanted to.

Auto export is locked behind the ultra subscription at $3/mo or $30/year. I’m not against subscriptions or anything, I just don’t think the feature is worth that price. I don’t want their cloud storage and whatever else comes with the ultra tier.
This is crazy timing because I just had the mirror experience while trying to find a scanner app for an android phone I wanted to use around the house as a smart home remote. The play store was a dumpster fire. I bought the Quick Scan app (Dev is iSolid) on iOS and was willing to pay good money for one on the Android phone too, but every single scanner app on Android had ridiculous subscriptions. A few were $20 a month!
I happily paid for this. I use it to automatically export to my paperless consume folder on my nas. I have a widget on my home screen that brings me straight into a scan and auto exports after. It’s fast, clean and works really well.
Same. It’s simple and straightforward and I think it only asked me if I wanted to pay for their extra service 1 time. I’m not sure if it’s income based but it didn’t cost us anything to do a federal return.

I use Linux for everything else. The question was “Why do you still use windows?” The answer is because autodesk has no support for Linux. I never blamed Linux for this and your entire post feels like you are responding to a made up position.

There is no substitute for Revit on Linux. Autodesk won’t even bring it to MacOS, which is what many architects prefer. People have been asking them for years to develop for other operating systems and they don’t give a shit. The person you responded to wasn’t blaming anyone for autodesk not supporting Linux. They were answering the question of why they still use it. I use Revit every day for work and I would wipe windows from my work pc in a second if there were an alternative. I’m working on a $300m project right now where it specifically states in the contract that we must use Revit so until autodesk decides to support it or goes fully browser based, we are screwed.

I haven’t tried it yet so I can’t vouch for it but I’ve read good things about a software called Explorer Patcher that can fix a lot of the W11 garbage.

I didn’t realize that so I just went to check on mine and the integration is errored out lol. A quick look on the forums shows that multiple people are having the same issue. When mine was working, I only had a few options like start and go home so it wasn’t that helpful anyways. The roomba app did update with room mapping abilities but I was never able to get that information into home assistant so my only option was a full clean. Maybe it’s changed since mine stopped working but I can’t wait to get something that’s better supported and put this one upstairs where it only has a few rooms to clean.

Save yourself the headache and get something that works locally and doesn’t rely on their cloud and app.
I’m not expert but for the sake of getting some discussion going:
Don’t open ports on your router to expose services to the open internet.
Use a vpn when torrenting and make sure your torrent client is set to only use the vpn’s network adapter. This way, if your vpn drops out the torrent client can’t reach the internet.
I keep everything local and use Tailscale to access things while I’m away from home.
I have a little experience with Microsoft’s intune and there are different ways to register devices. Someone feel free to correct me because I don’t feel like logging in to double check. Company owned devices have more control and can restrict apps, lock, full wipe, etc. Personal or “bring your own” devices are much less restricted. I can’t lock, wipe, or restrict apps. For the personal devices, it’s more about giving secure access to the companies resources and not really controlling the device. I work for a small business and only use this to setup access to non important documents for employees in the field so I know just enough to be dangerous.
I use the Mx master for work and it’s great. Can be used wired or wireless, 2.4ghz dongle or Bluetooth, and has a regular scroll wheel plus a thumb scroll. The regular scroll has a button to switch between individual steps or free spinning and you can also set it to free spin when flicked hard enough while in step mode. I regularly deal with 500-1500 page PDFs so being able to just flick a hundred pages or so is nice.
That definitely opened my eyes. Also, a lot of rich people lost their minds during COVID because they were briefly treated like the rest of us.
