I feel like a lot of the comments are kind of proving the point. If we say we don’t like Biden, then suddenly everyone assumes we aren’t voting and therfore are helping Trump. In reality, the meme literally says nothing about voting. That’s everyone else jumping to that conclusion.

Counter argument. I have also never made this much money. Neither has my boyfriend. We work at a hospital and make decent money. In Oct 2020 we were finally able to get our own apartment. We then moved back in with our old roommate last year. Because we were getting close to being homeless.
People were warning up about the disappearing middle class decades ago. I remember hearing about it in the 90s. And here we are. The wage gap between the top and the bottom has only widened.

We aren’t asking for tax payers money to take care of us in the way you’re thinking. We are asking for universal basic needs. For the young and the old. Healthcare, housing, etc. To move past capitalism. Especially since we are already seeing the issues popping up. People are already starting to work later in life to pay the bills. We are already seeing a surge in elderly homelessness. Of people not being able to pass down anything in inheritance because they have health issues and need to stay in a facility which takes everything from them.
We aren’t waiting to say “Now that we are older take care of us”
We are currently saying the system is broken now.
Giving the people the power of the economy is authoritarian. That makes sense.
