You guys are pretty proactive about blocking and defederating bad faith instances, or even ones not doing enough to deal with bad actors. You were one of the first to defederate Hexbear, and I think you even defederated world at one point?

Oh, hey Dave. Small world huh?
They’ve chosen a very confrontational path with the way their instance interacts with others, and as a result they get a lot of push back, which just makes them angrier. I suspect anyone trying to be reasonable on the instance gets accused of not being a true believer as well, so only the angriest remain.
Also, Boost for Lemmy allows you to block an entire instance, it’s pretty handy.
Just get a bookshelf poster.
Having a bookshelf poster behind you is actually a hilarious workaround.
The gag doesn’t really work without the before and after of Heathcliff, so he’s actually needed for this one.
It’ll take a few spectacular failures and bankruptcies before people figure out AI isn’t quite what’s being sold to them, I feel.
This sounds more like a clarification on existing policy, although it is telling they’ve said it so explicitly.
I do wonder at what point will Russia accept they simply can’t win this though? Ukraine is getting more and more advanced weapons systems, and ever increasing quantities of supplies and ammunition, while Russia is running out of everything. What’s the end game?
It’s pretty impressive if Flork came up with that themselves.
If you have a hard time telling this is satire, you might just be a bit dim.
Something I really hate about drive through ordering, is once you drive up to the kiosk, you’re committed, at least if someone comes up behind you. Once you find out the ice cream machine is once again down, it’s either drive through and come out empty handed, after waiting behind the car ordering dinner for an entire family, or get something else you don’t really want, at a higher cost.
Such a waste of time.
God I hate laugh tracks.
Are these the lyrics from something?
Shlorp Shlorp Shlorp Shlorp Shlorp.
He’s in rough shape for mid 70s.
You’re not wrong, but it’s still quite tedious.
Yup, they’re called grid tie inverters, because they tie a into the grid. They’re not able to be a standalone power supply, and you typically need a battery bank to be able to do so.
They will happily help out a generator though.
To be fair, the constant seething hatred this platform has for Musk does get pretty old fast, although this was a solid dig.
It’s a bit more mask on, and there’s a few legit communities there, as opposed to Hexbear where the entire instance has a stated goal.
But it’s pretty bad.
