Thank you for the detailed explanation :)
oh i see, they want to delete the secret instead of the active tokens. Yeah now i get what you mean. Seems kinda odd.
…that’s what i just said? https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/comment/793036
afaik to generate those tokens, you configure a secret in an enviroment variable. You cannot generate tokens from looking at valid tokens within the database. Thus storing active tokens in the database is fine since you can always purge all active tokens as this post has also suggested.
How did the hackers get the cookies in the first place? Compromised devices on the clients?
I love it. The best Option for now.
Like the sun.
Which is no sugar. So wheres the Problem?
Yeah that’s quite big. I’ll look into it, hopefully it’s freeleech.
Alrighty, thanks!
Is there a tutorial on how to set this up? (Apart from the barbie theme but the dock etc.) ?
I’ve always used gnome and i’d like to try KDE.
Does anybody know the magnet links to them? If yes, please DM them to me, thanks!
In short, they somehow obtain the Widevine L3 decryption keys, then they download the encrypted stream (Every browser downloads it while normal streaming, it’s trivial). The non-trivial thing is to get the decryption key and then to decrypt the encrypted file you’ve downloaded.
As to how exactly they’re doing it, it’s most likely a “secret” in order to limit the streaming companies in their capabilities to fix those “vulnerabilities”.
You, as a normal user, can buy a Software which can download from the most popular platforms. It’s called “Streamfab”. And if you’re a real pirate, you can download that piece of software cracked, too! Keep in mind that you’ll need valid subscriptions in order to rip directly from the streaming providers and at that point you don’t really need to download anything off of them, since you have legal access to their library.
But why go through that hassle and not just download the movie straight away from a P2P source?
What app are you using for RSS?
Thank you!
I’m afraid to ask, but why John Oliver?

You can heat them, then rapidly cool them in cold water and the Peel will slip right off.
Might not be the most energy efficient way.
