It’s not this judge’s job to police those cases, though. The other judges can apply whatever orders they need in order to protect the integrity of the trials they oversee. But this trial is over.
I wouldn’t put it past Trump to start describing Biden as a “Master Debater”. It has the level of intellectual discourse we expect from Donald Trump.
As I understand it, though, the point of the gag order was to prevent the witnesses from being intimidated before their testimony. The trial is over, and there will be no more testimony. So a gag order on them is no longer necessary to protect the integrity of the trial process.
But I recall reading that the DAs office was in favor of a partial lifting of the order. There is no reason to keep the order in place for witnesses, for example.
Trump’s lawyers wanted a full cancellation of the order and as far as I can tell the DA’s side got everything it asked for and Trump’s side only got the things the DA agreed to.
As someone who has never been in the military, I don’t feel qualified to comment negatively on anyone’s service. If someone is getting shot at, I don’t care if they are in a formal combat role or not, they are still out there protecting my ass and I won’t second guess them.
But those that have served understand that distinction, though, and I’ll have to defer to them to understand how cringy it all is.
It sounds like he was awarded the badge through the normal process, and it was only after the fact where it was determined he didn’t meet the requirements, and they “rescinded” it. So, at least in his case, there is a bit more to it than simply lying about his service
But that only leads to more questions, because shouldn’t they be looking more closely at this shit when they give those awards out? Who did he (or his superiors) have to convince to not look at the list too closely?
The problem, though, is when so many companies are outsourcing their customer service to social media like Reddit. And communities, like OP’s school, which have nothing to do with the current situation on other subreddits. “Ban evasion” is nothing but a power trip if the ban was bullshit to begin with.
If all Reddit had was pictures of cats and porn, then getting banned would not be as big a deal. Now that it is public, being used for legit reasons, and has “money”, I am waiting for a bunch of people who are being banned for arbitrary reasons to file a class-action lawsuit. I might even join, even though I haven’t been back since the APIcalypse. I was banned from /r/funny years ago and to this day I don’t really know why. (In fairness, though, that might have improved my life…)
But a human can synthesize all those works and transform them into something new. All the AI is doing is regurgitating stuff it has heard before. I don’t want to try to put a bot on the same level as human creativity.
It depends on what car you are interested in. Some cars are in such high demand that they don’t stay on the lot that long, they’ll just wait a week and get another taker.
I agree, which is why I was astounded when the Finance Manager basically said he didn’t know. Isn’t that his job? I had it all on a spreadsheet and didn’t agree to the sale until my numbers matched theirs.
The last time I bought a car, I asked a few questions about how they calculated their financing and was told “Don’t worry, the numbers are correct, the software does the hard math for us”. I would have walked out right then if I didn’t understand more of it than they did – I was still getting the deal I wanted, and ultimately I was able to get the numbers to make sense with the help of the Internet. But if the software really did go down, that dealership would probably grind to a halt, because nobody could do the hard math manually, not even the “Finance Manager”.
Sounds like Jack Smith is hedging his bets with additional things to charge Trump with if Trump’s pet judge throws out a bunch of charges
As I understand it, it’s due to advances in the technology that supports biology and paleontology. When all scientists had to go on were fossils, the bone structure of dinosaurs more closely resembled giant lizards, so thats the conclusion they came to. But recent techniques, including genetic analysis on currently existing species, clearly shows the link between birds and dinosaurs. (And, in fact, alligators are more closely related to birds than they are to lizards.)
I found this article which seems to explain it well:

Bitcoin is pseudonomynous. If you are careful it can be anonymous but that is not a guarantee.
Monero is anonymous, as anyone who uses it will remind you about, repeatly. Monero users are the vegans of crypto.

Maybe this is how all the grifters who raised money for Trump’s wall will justify it. “We always said we would build a wall on the Southern Border, we never said which Southern Border!”
Wouldn’t analog emails just be Telex? Or maybe old school text pagers?
quite the handy victory for her
