not much
Don’t know about Google but you can set up your own F-Droid repository, and you can also prepare to try to get it to ship via the main F-Droid repository. And if you have releases on Github you can maybe ask to have it also included with IzzyDroid F-Droid repo https://android.izzysoft.de/intro.php
Thank you ! :)
With Signal you only need a SIM card to register the account via the Signal app on the phone. You can receive the SMS for registering on another phone. After registering you can simply use Signal over WiFi. If this is too difficult, XMPP with a good OMEMO client for E2EE is an option. Easiest to install and start with is perhaps DeltaChat, E2EE chat via email : https://delta.chat/en/ You only need to learn what to do if the E2EE is not working right away. They have a FAQ and hints in the app.
Super cute!
Yes, alas iPhone is very dumbed down, but KDEconnect app is an option to copy things across to a desktop computer in the same WiFi network.
I like Flatpak, especially now that it has upstream providing packages. It does not have auto updates yet as far as I know. Not a big deal, if there are important security updates in the news, it is time to check for updates.
You could configure sudo without password only for the wg-quick command. Not a beautiful solution and also not super easy to configure with sudo but it’s an option. Much easier solution is to install doas or opendoas and leave sudo as it is. Let’s assume your desktop user is named variants and in group variants, then putting the following in /etc/doas.conf is expected to work :
permit nopass :variants cmd wg-quick
If your user is not yet in a group, and you add a new group, remember that making such a change usually requires logging out and logging in again because the group changes become visible. Then test with doas wg-quick up wg0
Thanks for mentioning the Steinberger guitars. I knew they exist but forgot the name https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steinberger
Hi, welcome. If you’re on feddit.de which is Lemmy based, you can use Lemmy apps : https://lemmyapps.netlify.app/
I am posting on lemmy.ml and piefed.social via Tor browser without issues.
Neat.
And the fonts in terminal and music player look similar ? What font is it ?
Nice
Saw those spam postings. From three different Mastodon servers, one instance was pretty small. Glad to hear active measures have been taken though I hope it was not simply blocking instances.
Question : Is spam reporting on Lemmy actually best or is it better to report directly on those Mastodon instances ?
Fediverse spammer copy & paste runtime error ?
Looks cool. Thank you.
upvoted +1 for icewm
Tested Stalwart, the all in one option with both JMAP and IMAP. Looks fairlygood, works fine with IMAP and SMTP, but making it work with JMAP clients took me some time. This page helped for the F-Droid client lrr.rs. With Cypth it was a no go. SnappyMail webmail software is not mentioned on the JMAP clients page at all but it is with development 1/2 done with JMAP implementation. In a few months time Stalwart is expected to have a web interface for admins. Looking forward to testing again when that is available.
