That’s really cool! I unfortunately have iOS devices but I’ve been trying to figure out automation via Notion instead
For how many people do you cook for and what meals do you usually prepare in camp?
I checked out the app but I saw it was paid (we don’t even have money for that lol). All of our recipes are written down on paper so that we can put it on a mounted clip and read it quick. I should probably look into digitizing our grocery and recipe lists.
How did things change during covid?
Pretty much everything written on the photo are the mainstays. I get a lot of inspiration from different vegan recipe sites but I adjust the recipe for our budget and taste later on. I could try linking some of them if you’d like. Just reply which ones intrigue you
The lack of unwanted rage bait posts and karma farmers has improved my mood by a lot. I gotta be honest though, I’m still scrolling through Apollo and giving myself my last dopamine hits before July 1st. Won’t miss that place
These are so beautiful and I am obsessed. When you expecting to harvest the same amount from last year?
Uy kababayan! Sometimes, my dad would get a sack of Maharlika rice from his work and I always thought that it tasted a little sweeter than Sinandomeng and Dinorado. I feel like cooking rice is a coming of age task back at home because the elderly finally trust you around the stove.
My husband was gifted a powerful Ninja blender and I constantly use it for some vegan cooking. I made plant-based cheese sauce, hamburgers, deli slices, and copycat just egg with it yesterday. Also very handy for quick smoothies!
Possibly and that’s the beauty of it. People will stay for different reasons and it seems that the standard of good-faith interactions on Beehaw will make a certain demographic stay. It’s not so difficult to exist in two different instances anyway especially because those two that you mentioned have open registration. We’ll just have to see how it goes moving forward
I think the mods have expressed that this was more of a decision driven by the lack of efficient modding tools as of the moment. Of course, also taking into consideration that they really do want to stay true to their ethos in the first place. I personally feel better interacting within Beehaw because the community is headed in a healthier direction as opposed to just being another reddit dupe/reddit refugee camp
Mine would be Soon Veggie ramen noodles with tofu, dried seaweed, dried shiitake mushrooms, and sesame oil drizzled on top with a side of kimchi. All cooked in a tiny steel single serving bowl. I miss the days when my little sister and I would eat hot ramen outdoors during chilly nights.
As a coffee novice, I also wondered whether bleach had something to do with flavor lol
Thank you for the photos you post here. All of them are very lovely
Planting garlic seems like a worthwhile thing to do! Your harvest looks amazing. I hope to find the time and place someday to plant some bulbs
If you’re not very fond of repeating meals, you can try experimenting on new recipes that depend on the same base ingredients and vary on its toppings and flavorings. I remember I’d always have rice as a base and add different veggies and seasonings like soy sauce and chili flakes to make a quick fried rice. It takes time to develop your home cooking mainstays but if you do have some spare time, you can try figuring it out.
