White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stormed out of a press briefing after Today News Africa reporter Simon Ateba demanded to know why he wasn't allowed to ask a question.
Fox News headlines reach people who don’t read Fox News. Don’t underestimate the tendency of people to stubbornly stick to the story they first heard as fact.
Nope. You said they are just as biased. That is clearly false based on Fox having to pay almost a billion dollars for lying. Also, I don’t even read Huffington Post so I’m not sure why you think they fit my beliefs.
Again, your question is irrelevant. It also does not apply to me because I said nothing about what should or should not be allowed. Here is what I said:
Do we need to post Fox News around here?
I don’t know why you expect me to answer an irrelevant question that doesn’t apply to me.
How about this. I’ll answer your question as soon as you tell me how many elephants live in your closet. It must be a non-zero number and it can’t be a lie.
Most news carries some bias which is too be expected. If Foxnews presented factual news instead of lies half truths, then it would be more acceptable for them to be posted. As it is, it should not be allowed, but it’s not because of the bias.
Do we need to post Fox News around here?
Why not?
Because they lie constantly.
Good. Each time they lie they get caught, like this ‘non-news’ story. Some rude reporter was being a dick and she politely walked away.
To Fox News, that’s CRAAAAZY. For everyone else, “ooh… normal behavior. Cool”

This. They don’t need help spreading their lies to the gullible, and we should always take pause before posting rage bait without context.
Lemmy and the larger Fediverse have their own fair share of rubes, after all.

And yet Fox is the only “news” outlet I’m aware of that had to trot out the “we’re entertainment, not news” defense.
Bias ≠ Lying
I’m pretty sure Huffington Post didn’t have to pay almost a billion dollars for lying.

There is a difference between bias and lies. So your question is irrelevant.

Those shouldn’t be posted either.
