Where’s that iPhone comic about society
Like the last 10 years? All that these “don’t vote for either party” movements have done is get republicans in charge who just accelerate damage. We don’t like All Gore or Hilary so we got the infinitely worse option. And the only way it affects the democratic party is by moving them further right, because they see those candidates winning and want to pander to their audience.
And that second thing does nothing except get me arrested.
Actually good advice, I’ll use this the next time a kid steals my radioactive isotopes.
I’m not voting for a libertarian, the last thing we need right now is deregulation. I’m voting for Biden because unless most of the country knows about a candidate, they’re not winning. I’d rather prevent a the second holocaust that trump openly wants to cause than use my vote on some ideallic candidate that I know won’t win. And it sucks, and I hate that I have to do that, but it’s the way things are right now. And short of a revolution or a change to ranked choice voting (which some states have done), I don’t see a better option. And just because I’m voting for him doesn’t mean I “promote” him or agree with everything he does.
How many times has a libertarian won a federal election
Oof that party split.
MIT license is useful for a lot of stuff that is traditionally monetized. Game development tools, for example. I don’t think a game engine could become very popular if you had to release your game’s source code for free.
Oh neat, thanks for the explanation! That makes sense as most of my crt exposure for the past 10 years has been classroom TVs and museum exhibits.
It’s insane what these people do. They’re rewriting code from the 60s to use even less memory, have to test it in production without physical access, and it takes two days to see if anything changes. It’s an insane piece of engineering and it’s incredible that it’s still sending useful data.
Idk if it’s just me but I have pretty good hearing, so I can hear the high pitch tone CRTs make and it drives me crazy.
I can do what I can but a lot is out of my control. I can’t change laws or help people far away. Except of course by voting and donating, but I only have so much money. I’d rather prevent the possible harm to people as much as possible, rather than have to try to stop things after they’ve gone bad. And in terms of prevention, I don’t have a plan b.
Ok so what’s the plan b?
It’s not because the land-focused voting system we have favors republicans, not to mention gerrymandering.
Also I swear you’ve forgotten 2020. The same fucking thing happened, people didn’t want to vote for a moderate democrat, and so a racist, abusive fascist got elected instead.
So you know you can do an easy action to make some people’s lives better, to delay fascism, and save minorities from a plan to essentially wipe them out, but you won’t because of principles? Because of some notion that the Democratic party will learn from losing?
You know that they lost in 2020 to a fascist. This already happened and the result was 4 years of hell for every minority group in the country. Why do you think this would be any better, or accomplish anything?
There’s also general gatekeeping of their developer tools which restricticts ports of software, and not following standards properly (USBc, sms).
It isn’t cynacle to say the president is doing things to get votes. That’s the president’s job - to do things the populous wants. That’s what a representative democracy is. It’s good for the president to do things that people want him to do.
I’ve heard that some trans women get “phantom periods” after hrt, like the hormonal cycle still happens even if the parts aren’t there.
Yeah Annapurna have had an amazing track record as an indie publisher. Only game of theirs that really disappointed me is 12 Minutes.
Yeah that’s it, thanks
